Gallic Acid

Gallic Acid is a yellowish white colored powdered substance which is highly stable at room temperature but it is highly incompatible with acid chlorides, anhydrides, strong oxidizing and bases agents. It can be used as an antioxidant in cosmetics and flavoring agents in food industries. The chemical formula of this compound is C7H6O5 with a molar mass of 170.12 grams per mol. Gallic Acid is soluble in water and other industrial solvents such as alcohol, ether, glycerol and acetone.
